Happy Fish Swim School is a year round, indoor swim school.

We offer swim lessons and safety classes to ages six months through adults. Our primary clients are children ages three through six and their parents. All of our efforts are driven by our belief in giving back to our local community. Each year we contribute to many community events and organize and conduct our own events for children and families. Happy Fish Swim School is currently hiring for the following positions:

Position: Swim Teacher
Hourly/Part Time or Full Time depending on candidate
10-40 hours per week

Benefits:
1. $9-$14 per hour based on experience and education.

Required for position:
• Junior or Senior in high school, in college or beyond.
• Friendly, charismatic leader type, with ability to work well with all ages of people.
• Ability to work at least ten or more hours per week.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings.
• Ability to commit to a consistent schedule to best serve the needs of our customers.

Preferred for position, but may acquire after hire:
• American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification.

Position: Senior Instructor
Hourly/Part Time
20-40 hours/week

Job Tasks:
1. Work at least five three-hour shifts teaching swim lessons to ages six month through adults.
2. Work at least three three-hour shifts or as needed at the front desk greeting customers,
    giving facility tours, taking registration and other customer service tasks.
3. Be available to substitute for swim teachers on specified, known days during the week on
    short notice.
4. Maintain clean and safe facility. Regular restroom and facility checks. Re-stock toiletries and
    other paper and cleaning products.
5. Sign and agree to all terms in Senior Instructor Agreement.
6. Other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Benefits:
1. $10-$12 per hour based on experience and education.

3. Front desk hours outside water working with customers.

Required for position:
• At least one year experience teaching swim lessons at Happy Fish Swim School.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and on short notice.
• Ability to influence others through effective and efficient positive and corrective feedback at
   all levels of employment and the public.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and complete work despite interruptions.
• Maturity and discretion to handle materials in a confidential manner.
• Ability to take appropriate steps to promote and sustain effective working relationships within
  a diverse multicultural environment.
• Ability to work safely in compliance with the Happy Fish Injury and Illness Prevention Plan.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Training.
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.
